Hi, I'm Rozheen

she / her / hers

I'm an Iranian-American therapist and daughter of immigrants who understands what it's like to grow up between many cultures. My lived experiences navigating identity, belonging, sexuality, and culture deeply shape the way I show up as a therapist. I bring warmth, curiosity, and genuine care to the work we do together.

I specialize in supporting children of immigrants, QTBIPOC, and multicultural folks. Holding multiple cultural expectations can sometimes feel like standing in different worlds at once. My hope is to offer a safe place to explore your identity — honoring where you come from while making space for who you're becoming.

My approach incorporates ACT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, art, mindfulness, and somatic-based healing — used flexibly, always centering your lived experience. Whether we're talking about family boundaries, identity, values, anxiety, or fear, I'll meet you where you are.

I strive to honor cultural identity, maintain political awareness, and actively push back against systemic injustice. I am deeply committed to continuing my own unlearning of the colonial and oppressive systems that have shaped our stories.

Beyond the therapy room

I find grounding in spending time with my community, working on pieces at my pottery studio, laughing until my belly hurts, and cooking comforting meals that remind me of home.

What I stand for

My practice is rooted in liberation, justice, and community care. These are frameworks and movements that shape how I show up in every session. I believe therapy cannot be separated from the political and social systems we all live within.

Things you might want to know

Feel free to reach out if you have more questions!

How do I get started?
The first step is scheduling a free 20–30 minute consultation call. This gives us a chance to connect, talk about what you're looking for, and see if we'd be a good fit. You can book directly through my Calendly or reach out by email.
Do you offer in-person or telehealth sessions?
All sessions are currently held via telehealth, which allows us to meet from wherever you feel most comfortable. I work with clients located in California.
What is your fee?
Individual therapy sessions are $190 for a 50-minute session. The initial consultation (20–30 min) is free. For clients with PPO insurance plans, I can provide a superbill that you may submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots — please reach out to inquire about current availability.
Do you accept insurance?
I am currently out-of-network with insurance providers. If you have a PPO plan, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. I recommend checking with your provider about your out-of-network benefits beforehand.
What populations do you work with?
I specialize in working with QTBIPOC individuals, children of immigrants, MENA/SWANA communities, and multicultural folks navigating identity, culture, relationships, and change. I work with adults and teens ages 14–18.
Are you licensed?
I am a Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW #123348) in the state of California, supervised by Jessica "Gonji" Lee, LCSW #88522.
What can I expect in a first session?
The first session is mostly about getting to know each other. I'll ask about what brings you to therapy, your background, and what you're hoping to get out of our work together. There's no pressure to share everything at once — we go at your pace.
